They took control from day one but kept us informed as things progressed which made the whole thing feel very comfortable.

They like to place fairways, tees and greens as naturally as possible. There isn't anything artificial about the course.

Niblick's View

“It was an unusual terrain to work on and very exciting because there were so many outcrops to design and build the golf course through,” says Graeme. “But despite the natural beauty, we also had to make sure we built greens incorporating surrounds that provided playability. A lot of beginners play in Norway, so if they miss the green we wanted them to have an exciting shot to play. It’s a design ethic we employ in all of our courses.”

Brian says: “To get the very best out of the land, we got our own shapers and finishers to work with local contractors, which often works out to be the most economical way of building a golf course. You have the best of both worlds - the local guy doing the earthwork can bring his experience while we provide the technical aspects such as project management and the shaping, finishing and fine building work.”
