Kvinesdal & Omegn Golf Club

When a new road threatened the future of Kvinesdal´s golf club, a plan was hatched to extend the course to attract visitors. The resulting Niblick design not only attracted visitors, it´s also attracted plenty of praise

Everyone has been very impressed with what's been done here, especially with the quality of the course.

The shaping around the greens is spectacular.

Niblick's View

“It was a special site and we spent a lot of time ensuring we got the best possible course from the land by incorporating as many special features as possible,” says Graeme. “We built up a very special relationship with Olav Magne which meant he had a lot of faith in what we were doing. Despite it being tremendously hard work, we had a lot of fun doing it.”

Brian agrees: “We were breathing life back into the existing nine holes and building new ones to create an 18-hole golf course. We had a lot of work onsite – parts of it were very heavily forested and we had limited topographical information so we had to get in there. If ever a hands-on approach was needed to get the best out of the landscape, this was it.”
